Hope Mission School was founded to provide a quality, formal education for our Home of Hope children. As we want our kids to excel in all areas, we’ve chosen to provide an English education. Most children in Bangladesh are taught using Bengali curriculum. Though this is fine, the world language is English and to succeed beyond the norm, you must know English. Most English medium schools here are for the elite. We have chosen to take children from the lowest level of society and equip them to reach their highest potential. So, along with English, we also teach computer competency and life skills to prepare them for their future. Our teachers are all Christians and have a minimum of Bachelor’s level education. We have our own library, science and computer lab. Our school begins with Playgroup (3+ years old) and finishes with their SSC exam (similar to our GED or 12th grade level).

Staff of Hope Mission School With Great Bend, KS team
Robert and Kay Ahrens led a team from 1st Assembly of God, Great Bend KS. The team of educators came to help with a time of teachers training at the Hope Mission School that is connected with the Home of Hope.
The Kansas team included a principle, two current teachers, two retired teachers, a special education specialist, an associate pastor, along with Robert Ahrens who ministers in the church teaching.
Robert and Kay have had Bangladesh on their hearts for many years. This was the 15th trip to Bangladesh for Robert and the 8th trip for Kay. The Ahrens have led teams who have helped in many ways. They have been a part of building teams, teaching teams, as well as a grandparents team.
The Great Bend church pastored by Dwight Dozier have helped with buildings and backing teams for many years. Jane and Phil Heeke on staff from the church helped with many creative ideas to help our teachers in our ministry to children of the Home of Hope in particular.
